Well brother Kyle started off another FANTASTIC year for TEAM DROP-TINE this past week with a HUGE BANG..! This Hard-Core hunter was on a extreme back pack Sheep hunt in Northern BC when we crossed paths with a GIANT STONE that DREAMS are made of..!!! A TRUE British Columbia TOAD of a Ram..! This 12yr old STUD is 40+" on both sides.!! Well Done Kyle, you've done Team Drop-Tine PROUD..!!

The BUCKET LIST

Well Drop-Tine himself stroked another one off his bucket list this summer with a dream he's had for many, many years..!! His Giant Saskatchewan WHITETAIL made the COVER of BIG BUCK Magazine..! Check it out if you have a chance.! Pretty amazing feat since he was alone and took the photos by himself.!!

Drop-Tine - The NEW #12 SCI All-Time.!!

It's almost uncanny how Drop-Tine continues with this pace, its unbelievable. This is ONE DEDICATED, EXTREME Trophy Hunter...! With the first amazing billy under his belt, Drop-Tine began searching for an absolutely outstanding Hawaiian Goat.. The rut was heavy and he passed up quite a few great billies before he found the ONE..

With an incredible shot through a twisted maze of lava rock and jungle, Drop-Tine had the NEW #12 All-Time SCI Gold Medal Record BILLY..!! This Goat is breathtaking with LONG SWEEPING horns and bases over 7 inches.. This Billy was rutting HARD and had been rubbing his horns in the trees, covering his entire body in burrs and a type of sticky seeds..

Not only is Drop-Tine's GOAT the new #12, he is a gorgeous Hawaiian BILLY with incredible markings of black and brown.! Check out the amazing horns on this beauty, the mass they carry and the twist, just incredible.. Way to go Drop-Tine, you are an ANIMAL..!

2011 - Drop-Tine continues to GET IT DONE....

Well, as most of you are starting to realize by now, Drop-Tine is an extreme predator.. When it comes to hunting, he just can't get enough.. He headed to Hawaii for a vacation, but managed to sneak away hunting to add a couple Hawaiian Spanish Goats to his incredible collection of trophy animals..

This first goat is a gorgeous old ram, with beautiful black hide and a broomed old set of horns that really show-case his age.. This billy had been in some incredible battles judging by the chunks missing from his spectacular headgear.

With the video camera rolling, Drop-Tine made a perfect shot, dropping this beauty billy on the spot.! Check out the back-drop of the amazing terrain these goats call home..! What an absolutely thrilling Hawaiian Hunt for this hunting super-hero.!

The Locked Buck Karma STRIKES again...!!!!!!!!!!

A couple days of Hardcore Hunting was involved along with a few sleepless nights, but Drop-Tine hunted the area hard and found the GIANT again on the second last day..! But this sly old buck continued to elude him. Well, ol' Drop-Tine ain't that easy to fool and everyone knows he's a PREDATOR who just doesn't give up.!

On the LAST DAY of the 2010 Season it all came together, once again involving one UNREAL stalk on foot, leaving Drop-Tine out of breath and a pressured, Game 7 Stanley Cup Overtime rushed 386 yard shot.! His faithful .300 Weatherby once again found its mark and Drop-Tine laid claim to his best typical whitey to date.!

This buck is a TRUE GIANT, after all, Drop-Tine named him "HIGH TOWERIN' TINES"..! And now you all know why.! With great mass and insane tine length, this buck is an absolute STUD.!!

Wow DROP-TINE, you continue to come through UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE, with CRANKERS, year in and year out. Well done on another much deserved trophy whitetail.!

I'd say this year put you over the top, not sure what's more fitting, if we should give you SUPER-HERO STATUS or knight you, SIR DROP-TINE...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drop-Tine's New GIANT - Introducing HIGH TOWERIN' TINES..!!!

Well, the season was winding down, another yr coming to a close, but DROP-TINE wasn't done as he found a GAGGER typical with only four days of hunting remaining.! Pressure on.!

He held his camera up to his new Swarovski scope and took this pic to prove to Team Drop-Tine, just how HUGE this buck was..!

Karma's Reward - The "TANK"..!!

Well, Drop-Tine's Dad spotted this buck and on the last day of his season, came through in a HUGE way to put the smack down on this phenomenal non-typical whitetail, Drop-Tine named the "TANK".!!


What a wicked stalk Drop-Tine and his Dad went on with this buck. In fact, they were SO STEALTHY, they were in the perfect position to have this UNREAL buck come to them.. Shall we just say a slight touch of Buck Fever went on, but Lorne made a great shot and Drop-Tine put one more into the "Tank" just for reassurance.!

Well, not too often in the world of wily whitetails, do you get to look at a buck of this caliber through the spotting scope.! Drop-Tine couldn't resist capturing the moment before heading off on foot in hot pursuit of this GIANT buck..! His Dad's last day to hunt..! Pressure ON.!

The GIFT of KARMA...!!!

Well, Drop-Tine and his DAD were out going hard as usual, the CDN Non-Res season was winding down with only 2 days to go, but not even an ounce of nervousness from these two veterans. On Monday November 29, 2010, this pair of lucky hunters came on something they'd been hoping to see their whole lives!! LOCKED BUCKS..!

One was already dead, the other near death.. Drop-Tine was off to try and free the live buck with Sr, filming the action for "Live 2 Hunt"!! They snuck in, calmed the nervous, played out buck down and Drop-Tine shot an antler off the dead buck.! ALL ON FILM..! This is guaranteed to make the L2H Highlight reel, HANDS DOWN.!

Drop-Tine said GOOD THINGS would come to this pair of hunters after freeing the buck.. And DID IT EVER..!

My Nephew Stevie's First BUCK.!

Well, I took Stevie under my wing this fall, the poor lad had been trying hard for two solid seasons to get himself his first buck.. Well, I told him to get his butt ready to spend a weekend hunting hard with ol Drop-Tine.

So off we went and this monster 4x4 was the end result. Way to go Stevie, what a first buck.. Wow..!

Shane AKA Weiner Gets it DONE..!!

Well, another one of Team Drop-Tine, got the job done in November on an Alberta Giant... This buck has it all, black horns, tremendous width, long tines and beam length.

This buck is wicked, there's a couple names swirlin' around the Flame Buck or the Boot Buck.. It doesn't much matter, its a HAWG.! Way to go Shaner' your buck is a true blue GAGGER..!

Drop-Tine Sr. BACK in ACTION..!

Well, its about time, but Drop-Tine Sr. decided to finally step it up a notch this year and get back in action on some big ol' Alberta whitetails..! Drop-Tine had a very close encounter with this buck, but it took Sr. to put this Monster on the ground..!!


Check out the black faced cape on this giant drop-tined buck, have you ever seen anything so pretty..? What a gorgeous, black-horned beauty of the Northern Forest. Well done DAD.! This buck is absolutely incredible..!

DROP-TINE and the REAL HERO..!!

Well, FINALLY Drop-Tine was able to get a photo of a big buck with his IDOL by his side.. A Special Thanks to his DAD.. HE never would be the successful SUPER-HUNTER he is without his Father.. DROP-TINE tagged along every chance he could since he was old enough to walk, learning the ways from one of HUNTING's FINEST..!!

A SUPER HERO named DROP-TINE!!.. Like a cagey ol' cat, he couldn't resist the urge to head back to AB, meet up with the gang and try for another GIANT Alberta WHITEY.. He has been on an UNREAL roll and was trying hard to complete the DRIVE for FIVE.. He did just that with this phenomenal chocolate-antlered whitetail..!!

The Schlachter's STRIKE AGAIN..!!!!!!

Drop-Tine didn't have much time to sneak away, but in the day and a half they had together, he managed to bring Nick a "Little Luck" as they executed a perfect stalk on this MONSTER bull, all on video for Cody Robbin's "Live 2 Hunt" TV show..!! What a crew here, Lorne, Nick and Mr.Drop-Tine himself pose with this TOAD of a bull.. It was awesome for these three to be together again as they have shared in some exciting hunts in the 30-something yrs they've been doing this together..! Well done Nick and here's to a big ol' loopy Bighorn to be posting on here in November..!

2010 is OFF with a BANG..!

Well all, Nick is lined up to have quite the year as he not only drew a first rifle hunt for big bull elk, but he also drew a coveted November archery Bighorn tag.. We didn't waste anytime, as we lined up this fantastic bull on day 4 of the 2010 season. Drop-Tine himself was there to video all the action as Nick put this GIANT 8x6 BULL down with his 300 Weatherby..!!

Forked Brow COOKER

Little did we know that the day was even going to get better and we were going to pull a double out of the hat that almost rivalled Nick and Drop-Tine's famous Alberta double of 2006... Another of our group Rob, connected on a buck that had haunted him since October's muzzleloading season.. Just a forked browed monster with great weight and a spread that made him look fabulous on the hoove..

Drop-Tined GIANT hits the Ground !!

Well the morning of November 24th, 2009 will go down in the books.. We were fortunate enough to cross paths with this giant once more, pushing him out of a small bush to my unsuspecting Sask hunting partner Roley.. Check out this monster, with a 8 1/2 hanger and a G2 that reaches to just over 14 incredible INCHES.. !!!!

Tallied up to give this legend over 188 inches of gross bone boys.. !! What a HAWG. !

Drop-Tined GIANT

It was November 2, 2009 at 2:45am that my camera captured this phantom drop-tined giant as he strolled through the woods near my stand. My eyes practically bugged out of my head when I seen this pic. Of course, only one pic just to taunt me and he disappeared out of my life for over three weeks.

Dad's 2009 Alberta Whitetail

Well, it had been 13 seasons since my Dad shot a northern Alberta whitetail.. Can you say, serious, HARDCORE Trophy Hunter.. ! That's my Dad..

He seen this buck from his stand and finally decided that this was the year to take a buck home with him.. Just a gorgeous long-tined 5x5 with up-sweeping beams and beautiful light colored antlers, unusual in Alberta's North...

Way to go Dad ! It's about time you pulled the trigger again..

Nick's Beauty 09 Alberta WT

Well, it has been a few years since Nick laid a whitey on the ground. He was getting down to the last few days and he couldn't resist knockin down this ol chocolate antlered 5x5.. He's a gorgeous buck with long G-2's and G-3's.. Both brows were chipped up and broke from the fierce battles this old brute had been in as of late.

Four for Four.. !!

After Drop-Tine's monster muzzle-loader mulie, he's been on cloud nine. He hunted whitetails with the TC Encore in SK the month of October without any major action.

There is a couple week break until the rifle season opens on the 15th of November and as you can imagine, he was going squirrely with nothing to hunt. So he couldn't resist the urge to head west to his old stomping grounds in northern Alberta, meet up with his old hunting crew and try to complete the "Foursome" consisting of four good Alberta bucks in four years.

He only had a few days to hunt, waiting for a monster to show up til the bitter end but in the witching hour with mere minutes of legal light left in his hunt, this heavy old buck made the mistake of cruising out on the cutline to look for a doe. He's a pretty 4x4 with long sweeping beams and great weight that make him a great last minute trophy..

Way to go Drop-Tine, you are a PREDATOR..!! Now back to Saskatchewan to try for a WT double.. !!

Shane's 2009 Whitey !

Well, here are the three musketeers with yet another stellar whitey.. We hunt HARD and get the job done, year in and year out... These two veteran's and young Shane-Son have combined for some great Northern Alberta Whitetails.. Way to go bro on another terrific Alberta whitetail.. !

Weiner's BEAUTY 5x5 WT

Well, Shane has put a few decent whiteys on the ground since the "Ghost Buck" was stolen the night he shot it in 2004... This was his year to finally put one on the ground that rivalled that buck.. He shot this gorgeous 5x5 as it ran out of the bush onto a cutline to chase a smaller buck off a doe. The buck's fatal mistake and Shane made him pay.. As you can see, a small bump on the left antler had the makings of a dropper.. Way to go bro.. Excellent buck..

The Roll Continues...

Well boys, it's unreal, uncanny, call it what you will, but Drop-Tine just keeps rolling along.. He continues to put the big boys on the ground, year after year... Unreal.

Here's a huge mulie he just killed with his smokepole... A gnarly old non-typical with insane mass and lots of junk.. Just an absolute TOAD...

Drop Tine's Half SLAM !!

Well, Drop-Tine's preserverence, patience and dedication paid off last week, when he harvested his Half Slam ram in the NWT. What a gorgeous 10 yr old Dall with great mass and old, broomed horns. Unreal. A tough, tough hunt, but it all paid off with this great trophy.

He's now halfway to his goal of a Grand Slam. He made a wicked 183 yard downhill shot on this super Dall. Jeff just continues his mission of putting great animals on the ground year after year and 2009 is off to a smokin start.

We'll Miss You Uncle Lester !

After a very short battle with cancer, I lost my favorite Uncle this past November 2008. My Dad and I shared many campfire tales, horseback hunting trips and fishin' holes with him.

Here's Uncle with my Dad on his last hunt, with a nice bull moose he shot.

Hat's off to you uncle, on a lifetime of hunting achievements, the incredible animals you harvested and the trophies on the wall to prove it.

I hope to meet up again with you one day and hunt by your side in the "Happy Hunting Grounds" and the Land of the Booners..

You are missed by us all everyday Uncle Lester and you'll be in our hearts forever.

The "Missing Shells" Bull !!

If that wasn't an exciting enough day already with one bull on the ground, Kyle's superb calling techniques sucked in this bull into 7, yes 7 yds for Shane.

The 300 wby did the trick and although a small, shall we say, "Shell Mishap", took place, Shane was able to put this great Alberta Bull on the ground..

Great lookin first bull Shane, awesome royals and 5ths, with big sweeping beams..

What a Start to 08 !

Well, the Kyle and Shane were lucky enough to draw a couple Alberta bull elk tags for the Oct hunt..

Kyle called this bull in on the first morning of their hunt and dropped him in his tracks with the ol' 7stw..

Well, after 2006, we all thought Drop-Tine's luck should be over..

But after putting this slob of a bull elk on the ground, 2007 has turned out to be another dream season for DT..

Wow, what a huge 9+ yr old old bull bull, with mass, wicked beams and great points, this bull grosses over the 350 mark..

What a pig DT.. You da man...

Well, it just seems like DT continues to produce what we all dream of doing.. This is his 2007 Alberta whitey, what an absolute SLOB... Circles of 6"+ combined with a 23+" inside spread and 25" beams, add up to a HOG of a typical grossing over 181" B&C..

Droptine was ecstatic to have his Dad by his side for this awesome ram.. What incredible weight on this 9+yr old brusier.. Jeff always wanted to kill a ram with his Dad, and as you can tell by his smile, he couldn't be happier..

Drop-Tine's Broomed HAWG

Well, Drop-Tine is off to another tremendous start for 2007.. He killed a beauty of a ram with 34"x37" heavy broomed horns and 16" bases.. Just a brute of a ram with insane mass and weight scoring 175 B&C.

What an end to an exciting year.. Incredible.. Not to mention an elusive, triple-double for Jeff, Nick and Kyle, killing a great whitey and mulie each totalling over 1075 inches of gross bone in 6 bucks.. UNREAL !!

It will be tough to beat this year boys.. But never say never!!
